Dale Center of H.O.P.E.

H.O.P.E. is an acronym that stands for Helping Orphans Prosper through Education. Too many Ethiopian children do not go to school. An education is a luxury that is simply out of reach. The lack of a quality education creates an ongoing cycle of poverty. FOVC believes that the best way to break the cycle of poverty for future generations is to provide children with a quality education now.

To sponsor a Dale child, go to dale.pwesponsorship.org to see the waiting children. Your gift of $38 a month will change the life of a deserving child whose greatest dream is just to go to school.

Our U.S.-based partner, Partners With Ethiopia, is managing the H.O.P.E. Child Sponsorship Program. All donations are tax-deductible. To learn more about our U.S.-based partner go to www.partnerswithethiopia.org.

Dale Center of H.O.P.E.

The Dale Center of H.O.P.E. is located in the village of Yirgalem. 150 children participate in this program. The children attend a local government school which offers half-day classes. The other half of the day is spent at the Dale Center of H.O.P.E. where they eat a hot, nutritious lunch, get help with homework, and have access to extra tutoring. In the summer months when school is not in session, the children come to the Dale Center of H.O.P.E. every day for lunch and to continue their learning. The children also receive school supplies, school uniforms, school fees, hygiene care materials, and medical care through this program. The Dale Center of H.O.P.E. is staffed by a program manager, a social worker, two guards, and two cooks. The staff plays a significant role as mentors in the children’s lives.
